Millions of tulips bloom in China’s largest flower park. Besides the tulips, IGMPR arranged the cultural programming with different artists from the Netherlands: the iconic band Kleintje Pils, street performers Close Act and an exhibition of famous landscape photographer Albert Dros. We also had the pleasure to host ambassador André Haspels and his wife during their visit to Dafeng and Yancheng to learn more about its shared history and future in water engineering, nature conservation and floriculture. IGMPR has been supporting the development, operation and promotion of the Dafeng Holland Flower park since 2015. Watch the video below for an introduction of the park!
Dafeng Holland Flower Park Introduction Video:
For the second edition of the Immersion Garden at the world’s oldest tulip festival, Tulip Time in Holland, MI, IGMPR introduced the Delftware floral benches with patterns designed by Heinen Delfts Blauw and Pepijn van den Nieuwendijk. Another great addition were over 30 large interpretation displays with artwork visuals collected from museums all over the world, explaining the Journey of the Tulip – how it travelled from East to West – , and tulip art and culture in the Netherlands. During 8 days we received thousands of visitors each day and had sold-out weekends and rave reviews. We let the images and video’s speak for itself!
On May 1, a brand new floral experience created by IGMPR and the NC Arboretum opened to the public. IGMPR pioneered a new approach of integrating Immersive Blooming Objects as extensions to the hard- and softscapes of the garden. This transforms the garden into a unique floral experience, while using thousands of Lily, Calla and Hydrengea’s. More information at: https://www.ncarboretum.org/bloom-with-a-view/
In March 2023, Parco Sigurtà added another painting of its founder Enzo Sigurtà to its collection of Immersive Blooming Objects created by IGMPR. With specifically forced tulips and hyacinths the installation was a colourful and fragrant surprise for visitors this early in the season.
Our Immersive Blooming Object has landed for the first time in Parco Sigurtà. It has been an honor to set the beautiful painting of Enzo Inga Sigurtà into bloom! Visitors to the Tulipanomania Festival could experience tulips up close and personal for this first time, and create beautiful selfies. Check out the video!
During a visit to the team of the Tulip Time Festival in Holland, MI, Ibo Gülsen gave an interview to Meredith Ter Haar of ABC Channel ’13 On your Side’ about our upcoming exhibition in May:
